Alma is an experienced clinician with a focus on trauma-informed care, mood concerns, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and life transitions.

With personal experience living in eight different countries across North America, Europe, and South America, Alma offers a unique cross-cultural perspective. She values creating a strong therapeutic alliance and works collaboratively with clients, using a strength-based approach that fosters reflection and personal growth. Her sessions are adapted to each client’s needs, supporting exploration of past and present experiences in a respectful, non-judgmental environment.

Alma is a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and maintains membership with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds a Master’s in Science in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London, UK. Alma is trained in EMDR (EMDRIA-approved training) and holds certifications as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP), and Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCTAP). She has also completed additional training in emotion-focused therapy, attachment-based play therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy, somatic therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
